How Access Hub works

No vague “accessible” stickers. Just honest info about whether a place works for you.

Start with your profile

A profile is just a short list of what you need — nothing else. It’s what turns a long list of places into one that actually fits.

  1. 1

    Sign in — or don’t

You can look around without an account. Sign in to keep your profiles and saved places on any device.

  2. 2

    Create a profile

Name it whatever you like — “Family day out”, “Trips with Mum”, “Date night”. We never ask for a diagnosis or any medical details.

  3. 3

    Tick what you need

For each thing — step-free entrance, accessible toilet, hearing loop, quiet space, roll-in shower — choose Not needed, Nice to have or Must have.

  4. 4

    Pick the one you’re using

Keep a few for different trips or people you go out with, and switch whenever you like. Matching can be turned off when you just want to browse.

  5. 5

    Save and pass it on

Heart places to Saved, then confirm what you found or leave a review so the next person knows what to expect.

Profiles are private to you — never shown to venues or other members. Saved places and reviews work the same way: hearts stay in your own Saved list, and anything you write is moderated before it goes public.

Personalised matching

We compare your essential and preferred requirements with structured information about each place, using clear rules — so a match label is always something we can explain. It’s never an AI guess, and never a percentage score.

AI does get used elsewhere, but only where you ask for it: Plan my trip plans are written by AI from the details we already hold, and are always labelled as such.

  • Meets your stated requirements

Every essential feature has supporting information and no unresolved conflicts.

  • Potential match — confirmation needed

One or more essential features are unknown, older than 24 months, or disputed by the community.

  • Does not meet a requirement

Current information indicates at least one essential feature is not available.

A match is never a guarantee. Always check anything essential with the venue before you travel.

Information sources

Every detail shows where it came from and when it was last observed.

  • Venue provided

    Information supplied by the business.

  • Community reported

    Information submitted by a visitor.

  • Community confirmed

Supported by several independent community observations under our moderation policy.

  • Independently verified

Checked through an authorised, documented verification process.

  • From Google Maps

Taken from Google Maps listings. Worth double-checking before you go.

Community confirmed

On any place, you can confirm a feature, report that something was different, or share a new observation. Contributions are moderated, and a single person can never confirm a feature on their own. When reports conflict, we show both sides rather than hiding the disagreement.

The short version

Places and their basic access details come from Google Maps. Member reviews and confirmations are real and shared with everyone. Your accessibility profiles stay private to your account. Try it in Explore.
