Privacy policy
The short version: we only keep what helps you find great places, and your access needs stay private.

Who we are
AccessHub helps people discover accessible places across Scotland. For anything about your data, email hello@accesshub.example.
What we collect
- Account details — your email address when you sign in.
- What I need profiles — the access preferences you choose. These are private to you and never shown to anyone else. We never ask for diagnoses.
- Saved places — the places you heart.
- Reviews and tips — anything you post is public, along with your display name.
- Suggestions — what you type into Suggestions is sent to an AI service to pick places for you. It isn’t used to train models.
If you’re not signed in, your profiles and saved places stay on your own device.
Why we use it
To match places to your needs, keep your settings across devices, show community reviews and keep the site safe. Our legal basis is providing the service you asked for and, for sensitive access details, your explicit consent — you can delete them any time.
Who else is involved
- Our hosting and database provider, which stores account data securely.
- Google Maps, which supplies place details, photos and maps.
- An AI provider, only when you use Suggestions.
We never sell your information.
How long we keep it
Account data stays until you delete it or ask us to. Google place details are refreshed regularly and never kept longer than Google allows.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct, download or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email us and we’ll reply within a month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
